Smoothies and juices are one of the best ways to consume anti-inflammatory superfoods – all at once. I’ve made this super delicious green, turmeric, and banana smoothie a few times this past week. The ingredients all blend together to give it this fresh detox taste. I LOVE IT… Probably one of my best smoothie recipes for sure!
Now, you can either use turmeric or ginger. I tried both and it tasted great each time. I use fresh ginger, but you can also use powdered as a second option.
If you suffer from joint pain or arthritis, you definitely need to consume tons of anti-inflammatory foods. You don’t want to rely on drugs forever. Just read the side effects and see for yourself.

Green Turmeric Banana Smoothie to Beat Inflammation
- Two handfuls of spinach
- 1 small banana
- 1 pear (this is a must! it upgraded the taste big time!)
- A few thin slices of turmeric or ginger – try both and see which one you prefer best. They both have anti-inflammatory properties.
- 1 cup of almond milk
- (Optional) half an orange.

Some additional notes…
If you want, you can also add some protein powder. It’ll change the taste a bit (depending on the flavor) but you can experience! Here’s the protein powder I use (it’s the only Whey protein powder my body tolerates).
If you keep your fruits outside, then add some ice. Nobody wants a warm smoothie lol
