I am excited to share with you these yummy peanut butter energy balls. This is a quick snack recipe you can start incorporating in your low-energy days. And I know how hard it can be to find healthy treats around the house/work. These energy balls contain ingredients you probably already have in your home, and can easily be put together in less than 5 minutes.
Now, I know that I am a huge advocate for reducing/eliminating grains from your diet if you’re suffering from inflammation and want to heal your gut. So if that is your goal, please feel free to substitute oats with shredded coconut, or almond flour. I have tried both before and they both work great. If you are using coconut, add another flour to help everything stick together (coconut flour, or almond flour).
I am using hemp hearts here because they are loaded with omegas and protein. They are completely optional if you don’t have them. I use Manitoba Harvest Hemp Hearts.
I am also using chocolate chips because they add a nice sweet touch to these balls. You can also add some almond pieces if you wish (I didn’t have them, but I’m sure they’d have been nice too)
